Beethoven’s concerto-like Piano Quartet, Op. 16, featuring Inon Barnatan, is the centerpiece of this rich program, which also includes Arensky’s lyrical Piano Trio in D Minor and Danish composer Hans Abrahamsen’s wind quintet Walden—described by Abrahamsen as being written “in a style of re-cycling and ‘new simplicity.’”
